I have been working straight from 8 a.m. to midnight (endless grading, writing, student meetings) for the past several days, stopping to sleep soundly the allotted 8 hours. Didn't even shower before work yesterday, because really, what fool would squander this sort of treasure on an extra 20 minutes in the bathroom?? Although the house remains an embarrassment, for the first time in two months I think I might actually get through this semester alive, and that's a good feeling. I miss my men, but, um, I don't think I'd shed bitter tears if they extended their visit another day or two. :) It'll take me at least another 24 hours to get my work life quasi-caught up, and I could oh-so-easily could use more time to get the house in order too.
On that note: This post has represented the longest break I've taken in 72 hours, so back to work. (It's a good thing I freakishly take crossing jobs off the list to be its own reward, huh? I'm totally happier with this than I would have been with a Caribbean holiday right now!) I'm at the office since I had too many student meetings to squeeze into the regular work week, and the first of eight students should be arriving any minute...
Oh, but here is a video Jesse's sister just sent. Lisa and her family live in Rochester too, and apparently yesterday Josiah enjoyed a great visit at their house with cousins Bryn and Jaron. I feel entirely absolved of any guilt over my happiness at being home alone as Josiah clearly (of course) is not suffering from my absence!

Hand feeding the cat....LOVE IT!!! It's fantiastic that the boys are having a great time and you're on an at-home business trip. Hope you keep making progress and can get your head above water! We love you guys and you can send Josiah here to NH ANY TIME!!!
I must say, pretty sure "reveling" is not usually used in reference to things like spending 16 hours straight for three days in a row doing nothing but work....but I understand the feeling.
