"So...any day now..."
"Are you going to have that baby here on the street?!!"
"Haven't you had that baby yet?"

Go ahead and pat my tummy, smile at me, say congratulations. But please don't rub it in my face (albeit unintentionally) that no, actually, this baby is NOT coming particularly soon. I grow a prize-winning belly, I realize. But the baby in there is not even 3 pounds yet; we only hit the three-quarter mark (30 weeks out of 40) a few days ago. There's a long way to go.
The photo is provided for those who have asked (several times) for a "belly shot." Know that I must love you lots, because as I routinely say to Jesse, I don't really feel a great need to publicize this look! I stood at ever so slight an angle to visually trim off an inch or so, hopefully inviting lots of morale-boosting comments that I actually look lovely and small. Please take pity and and play mind games with me until I believe that surely these last few months will be a breeze! :)

Aww! I think you look great! I think your tummy looks bigger to you than it actually is because it goes straight out. Actually, you look very streamlined...aerodynamic...built for speed! ;-)
And as the summer draws to a close, hopefully the weather will get cooler and more comfortable. You're right, he's not ready yet. In the mean time, I'll pray he snuggles into a more pleasant position for Mommy.
You're looking cute and it won't be TOO much longer before he's in your arms!
I am so happy you finally posted a picture of your belly!!! But I can hardly tell you're even pregnant Krista I can't believe you're 30 weeks you look like you are still in your first trimester...how do you stay so tiny what have you gained like only 3 lbs you actually look like you've lost weight since you announced that you are pregnant...you must not even be wearing maternity clothes yet...people like you that never show are so lucky!
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
Seriously, you are positively glowing!
I love the belly.
I miss you
You look amazing!! And I'm not just saying that, I promise!! One day I will write a book (maybe it's already been done), "101 Things Never to Say to a Pregnant Woman." - "Any day now..." would be one of them!!

Think about it though - you don't have to worry about putting on another 30 pounds or buying even bigger maternity clothes or having even more back pain, crushed organs, etc. You're already there! Which isn't the best thing every, but at least it won't get too much worse! Also, I've always thought having a table to put anything you need on it can be sooo handy. An oreo for later...that post-it-note until you remember to do what it says...an apple in case you need a mid-afternoon snack...A washcloth for Josiah's frequently grubby face/hands. So, in summary, your belly is not only useful as a home for the unborn, but also for every day use!
Recently being in the same boat, -- no, I didn't say being the size of a boat -- I cannot tell you how much I understand your annoyance at those comments!! At least be original. My favorite was a guy at work who said that he could hear my shirt stretching. Now that was at least funny.
