I'm working insane hours this semester. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining; I have a lot more flexibility in my schedule at some times during the year than people in most other professions, and I'm (truly) thankful for my wonderful, secure, rewarding, always-changing job! But I'm on the thin edge right now working 80 hour weeks and sleeping broken, very short nights, with no sign of relief until May. Jesse has moved to a part time schedule at work this year, and it's so (so, so, soooo) wonderful that the boys are receiving almost undivided parental love and attention even if they're not getting it from me as much as I'd like for these few months.
Anyway, that's not the point of the post. This picture Jesse sent me today at 5:09 p.m., shot with his camera phone, with the subject line "come home soon!" is the point of this post. Seriously, how could a mother do anything but ditch it all and rush out the door? Killing me, I tell you, killing me!
* Note: After posting this, Jesse informed me that he had socks stuffed under William's legs to keep his feet up high enough so the trains could pass under. Hilarious!!

I definitely vote for the ditching it all and running home plan!! Super cute pic, too. :)
