Safari Park

A couple of weeks ago we spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon with friends at the Safari Park. It's part of the San Diego Zoo but located half an hour away from the city, and it's not at all like a normal zoo. It's a safari park! And wow, did we enjoy it. We barely saw half of what there is to enjoy, so we'll be back at some point in the next month or two.

Here are our beautiful friends and tour guides, Tamara with kiddos Samuel, Elijah, and Simone.

Josiah and Elijah were super cute. When we first arrived, they held hands and shared holding the park map with their outer hands! (sorry for the overexposures with the camera...I'm slowly learning...)

A pigeon. Not the kind I find at Central Market at home in Lancaster!

Gorgeous lion.

Cheetah.

Exceptionally large bats of unknown variety.

Meerkats.

And a classic shot of homo sapiens young in the wild.
